Record $130 million paid for three-storey on Clearwater Bay seashore

A mainlander has paid $130 million for a house on the waterfront at Sheung Sze Wan, Clearwater Bay, according to the property website, OKAY.com.

The price is a record $61,905 per sq ft for the 2100 sq ft property with garden. The previous owner bought it for $34 million eight years ago.

The agent said the mainlander looked for a year for a house to buy in Sai Kung or Clearwater Bay before settling on the Sheung Sze Wan property.

The area was filmed by Stu Lowe, technology adviser at the English Schools Foundation, with a Walkera X350 helicopter-like drone and a GoPro3 camera.
