Discovery Bay developer builds ‘idyllic’ bungalow at Po Lo Che

Discovery Bay developer HKR International Ltd is building “an idyllic” bungalow at Po Lo Che. According to the company’s interim report, the 3700 sq ft gross floor area residence will be completed early next year.

It’s a single-storey house with an external facade of stonework,water features and an infinity pool. The HKR report described it as “idyllic”. Whether the bungalow is to be sold, rented or used by the Cha family who control HKR is not stated.

The Chairman of HKR is Payson Cha Mou Sing, an heir to the business empire of Cha Chi Ming. Payson, one of the most pleasant billionaires you will ever meet, has unfortunately recently been tangled up in the embarrassing imbroglio of ATV.

Projexasia Ltd, a 14-year-old construction firm headed by Steve Grant, won the main contractor role for the project last year.The site is off Po Lo Che Rd at Kap Pin Long. Helen Luk, spokesman for Projexasia, declined to comment citing “client confidentiality”.
