Is this a good business plan: a shop with only four products? Judging from the clamour in the local community, it may be. Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory has opened to salivating anticipation from some residents.
Its decor, prominent on Po Tung Road, is the most attractive among new stores in town. The blue porch near the lingerie shop juts out into the street. Go inside and you find hostesses offering samples of the four products: Honey and Gorgonzola cookies, salt and Camembert cookies, milk cheese cake and Edam cheese cake.
If you need a sugar rush in the morning, don’t bother. Tokyo Milk Cheese opens only in the afternoons, until late evening.
