A historic stone trail crossing the hills between Sai Kung and Tai Wai has been vandalised, heritage campaigner Guy Shirra reports. A government department or private contractor has been concreting between the ancient stones.

“This is totally unnecessary in  the extreme,” Guy wrote. As a campaigner for protection of such historic sites for more than a decade, he is “near to tears”.

The stone trail runs from Tai Shiu Tseng  above Sai Kung to Fa Sang Hang above Siu Lek Yuen.  It is one of the most beautiful trails in our district, running through woodlands and passing derelict houses.
