Sai Kung artist Psyche Chong’s new So Soul Hub and Gallery is now open at Po Tong Rd at weekends. Psyche, a corporate lawyer and Pak Kong resident, said, “The concept of So Soul is to provide a platform for artists in Sai Kung to showcase their art to the public. I do think Sai Kung lacks a proper place for artists and so I wish So Soul can be a hub for all artists and art lovers who want to share with people about art. If anyone is looking for works of art to aestheticise their interior, So Soul can provide art leasing too. So Soul’s artists may also help to transform people’s wants into art. We will tailor art work for anyone upon their request. For instance, if anyone has a photo showing a lovely memorable place, one of our artists can paint the photo transforming it into a unique art piece. This is our aim to bring art into peoples’ homes.”
Psyche is flying to Iran “to explore more about the Islamic country and people. I wish I can have some insights and transform them into my next creations. I don’t want to follow what the mega media have selectively made and purposely reported, I rather explore by myself.”
