Sai Kung artist Gary Yeung, a proponent of street art, has gone to work on the alley wall of Bacco, celebrating our cows and the group who look after them, Sai Kung Buffalo Watch*.  The mural will be 70ft long and was commissioned by cowgirl Carol Biddell, an SKBW activist. Gary wants to see many more roadside murals and has won an Urban Renewal Authority commission to work on the Central Oasis Mural at Central Market.

Gary is prolific, focusing much of his art on the Old Town (see studiogario.blogspot.com).  “I have loved painting since I was young, but never had any formal training.” Then he studied with Anatassia Katafygiotis**, the Russian who has an art teaching studio in the Old Town. His impressionist style shows Anatassia’s influence.
