Artistic cycling will be one of the highlights at the Sai Kung Variety Show and Carnival on June 25. The show is the main event in our district celebrating the 20th anniversary of the HKSAR. At the Tseung Kwan O velodrome, it will be free to all comers, except you are allowed only two tickets. The show runs from 2.30 to 5.30pm.
BUZZ’s attempts to get the full programme from the District Office and the District Council have proved fruitless. We suspect as we have seen with other Sai Kung shows such as the one at the Tin Hau Temple that it is all pulled together at the last minute. Also, to be fair, there are masses of events going on throughout the district for the 20th anniversary and the DO staff will be overloaded. The HAD’s 20th anniversary website simply says that aside from artistic cycling there will be dragon dancing, singing, dancing and musical performances.
