We have received the following notice from the Transport Department. It may explain why there are strange goings on at the top of Hiram’s Highway. Happy driving.
Motorist are advised that to facilitate Hiram’s Highway Improvement Works, the slip road leading from Clear Water Bay Road eastbound to Hiram’s Highway will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm daily between 18 September 2017 and 28 September 2017, except Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Affected vehicles on Clear Water Bay Road eastbound heading to Hiram’s Highway, including KMB Route 92, and New Territories GMB Routes 1 and 1A on their journeys to Sai Kung, will be temporarily diverted to travel via Clear Water Bay Road eastbound, roundabout near Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Staff Quarters, Clear Water Bay Road westbound, slip road and Hiram’s Highway.
At the same time, the bus stop and GMB stop of the above routes on Hiram’s Highway opposite to Cheng Chek Chee Secondary School will be temporarily relocated to Clear Water Bay Road near Tai Po Tsai Kau.
Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. Public transport operators will post up notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
