All-day and all-night partying as sailing club's charity event rolls into Sunday

Beer and wine were flowing as HHYC’s 24-hour dinghy race carried on Sunday and it wasn’t yet noon. Burgers were sizzling and tasty delicacies were laid out. Kids fell about on the bouncy castle. A few dogs sniffed the cooking meat. Many charities had booths set up in the fair autumn air. Sailability was there along with Treats and the Children’s Cancer Fund. The dinghies were racing in 10 to 15 knots of wind, about right for little boats. Youngsters filmed the action with a drone. Race officials monitored progress as the 24-hour event neared its end, looking forward to the time they too could join in the quaffing of beer and wine and the chomping of burgers. Then the party could really get started.
