Gary Yeung has extended his mural on Bacco’s wall along the alley way between Man Nin Street and the Post Office. Taking advantage of the fine weather, as well as fewer crowds on the days between public holidays, Gary explained that he was hoping to get permission to have other chances to add to his current collection of murals around town.
According to Gary, “This is a mural depicting the feral cows in the area I live. They were once farm cows but they have been abandoned since long ago as there are fewer and fewer farmers in Hong Kong these days. The free cows now roam mostly in the country parks and the countryside on Sai Kung Peninsula. They live a carefree life most of the time but sometimes some of them would get seriously injured or even killed on roads”.
The wall is dedicated to Sai Kung Buffalo Watch. Take a look at some of Gary’s other works as reported by BUZZ previously; Sketches of Sai Kung by Gary Yeung; Sai Kung artist Gary Yeung paints local icons on alley near Bacco; Brighten up Sai Kung with street murals, artist Gary Yeung says.
