A Mong Kok Rocket red minibus heading towards Sai Kung collided with two cars on Clearwater Bay Road at Ta Kwu Ling San Tsuen, near Las Pinadas, late this afternoon just before 4:00 pm. Eight people, five men and three women, including the minibus driver, were slightly injured, including one of the private car drivers and seven passengers on the minibus. They were sent to Tsueng Kwan O Hospital for treatment.
Witnesses say that a number of young boys were at the back of the bus and looked traumatised.
Clearwater Bay Road heading to Sai Kung near Ta Kwu Ling San Tsuen was congested for nearly an hour before traffic returned to normal.
Update: #9 minibus was from Kwun Tong. Chinese media now reporting that the Mercedes driver pulled out from Las Pinadas and turned right, straight into the path of the red minibus. They were not aware they could only turn left.
