KMB will introduce a new express bus service for passengers travelling from Wong Shek Pier to Sha Tin with effect from Sunday 24 March 2019, Designated Express Route 289R the new route will travel via Pak Tam Chung, Tai Mong Tsai, Sai Keng, City One Shatin, Belair Garden, and Sha Tin Bus Terminus. This will be a one way routing, with no return journeys.
Route 289R will depart from Wong Shek Pier Bus Terminus between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm at a frequency of 30 minutes on Sundays and public holidays. The full fare is $21.5.
