According to the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO), last year they received a total of 24 reported sightings of unidentified flying objects, 10 more than the previous year. Four of those were from Sai Kung, higher than any other district.
For the period from 2014 – 2018 HKO received a total of 88 UFO reports, Sai Kung having nine of those, again higher than anywhere else in Hong Kong.
The most active time period for sightings was from 6:00 – 7:59 pm, followed by 4:00 -5:59 pm.
