Around 6:00 pm this evening (7 June), a seven-seat van was travelling along Hiram’s Highway to Kowloon. As it approached Marina Cove it suddenly caught fire. The driver immediately abandoned the car and escaped.
Fire Services attended the incident quickly and extinguished the flames. No one was injured in the incident.
Hiram’s Highway was blocked in both directions for around an hour. The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
