Early this morning, at 3:10 a.m. today (25/5), a car being driven along Tai Au Mun Road, Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung went out of control when it reached a right hand bend near No. 2 Tai Au Mun Road. It crossed into the opposite lane and hit a hillside before overturning.
The driver and two passengers were trapped for a while and fire fighters had to cut a large hole in the windshield at the front of the car to rescue the three people.
The 56-year-old male and 38-year-old female passengers suffered injuries to their hands and had lower back pain respectively. They were sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment after they recovered.
The 42-year-old female drive told the police that she tried to avoid a dog and turned the steering wheel rapidly. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
