Clear Water Bay house burgled; HK$210,000 worth of valuables including a Rolex watch stolen

About 9:00 pm last night (30/6), police received a report from a 60-year-old woman who said that the window screen of one of the rooms in her village house on Pik Uk Village Road, Clearwater Bay, Sai Kung was damaged and there were signs of ransacking in the house, suspecting that she had been burgled.

Police officers arrived at the scene after receiving the report, and after preliminary assessment, it is believed that a batch of watches and jewellery worth about $100,000 and a safe containing about HK$100,000 and about RMB10,000 were missing from the house. The total loss of property is about HK$210,000.

It is reported that the watches include Rolex and other famous watches. After preliminary investigation, the case was classified as “burglary” and handed over to the Tseung Kwan O Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.
