Postie injured trying to stop car from rolling into farmland in Clearwater Bay

Just before 11:00 am this morning (31/12), a Hong Kong Post driver was driving his to Sheung Yeung Village, Sai Kung when he got out to deliver some letters. Suddenly, the car rolled forward. The driver tried to stop it but was unsuccessful.

The car crashed into farmland. The postman who tried to stop the car sustained a hand injury and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
