Painter Psyche Chong found her artistic sensibilities offended by window bars and grill doors when she moved into O Tau. She asked the landlady if she could take them out. Then Psyche got burgled, losing valuables worth about $200,000. Now she’s bought her own flat a wiser Psyche has put in window bars and grill doors, while letting her artistic tastes loose. She has designed white grill doors inspired by Gaudi. “I can’t build a house like Gaudi’s Casa Pedrera, but I can borrow his gate.”
