Timothy Kwok, Bishop of the Anglican diocese of East Kowloon, has visited Sai Kung to officiate at a ceremony installing Chris Ponniah as parish pastor.
Sai Kung’s new pastor, Rev. Ponniah, will conduct services at Pak Sha Wan’s Resurrection Church. A Sri Lankan, Chris has arrived from New Zealand with his wife.
Church committee member Chris Hanselman said,”He’s a likeable fellow, relaxed and funny.” Resurrection Church’s 10am Sunday services are casual and musical. At times the singing becomes inspired, bringing parishioners to their feet, swaying and singing along.
