A serious accident occurred at the intersection near the Sai Kung fire station this morning, injuring about 18 people.
The accident occurred at about 10.30am and involved four vehicles, a green minibus, a seven-seater vehicle, private car and motorcycle, Apple Daily reported. Traffic in both directions on Hiram’s Highway was affected.
A white Honda Jazz and a motorcycle stopped at the traffic lights, but a seven-seater vehicle did not. It knocked over the motorcycle then hit a green mini-bus. Car safety bags popped.
As the accident happened so close to the fire station, ambulancemen and fire officers were on the scene quickly.
