Stage Right seeks to draw out talent in Sai Kung's little thespians

“This above all: to thine own self be true.”– Shakespeare

Budding thespians are invited to enroll for coaching sessions leading up to Stage Right’s Youth Festival in June. The theatre-for-kids company was founded seven years ago by local resident Jessica McClellan. This will be the company’s fourth such festival.

Performances will be staged locally at Hong Kong Academy, Clearwater Bay School and Garden House. Children from four to 14 are invited to join in workshops that will train them in acting and stage skills, culminating in shows that will be open to the public. Fees per child for the courses range from $1990 to $3080. Plays to be staged include The Script is on Fire,  Wings of the Butterfly, Big Toy Circus and Alice in Wonderland.

Jessica, whose office is at 81B Sai Kung Road, said the workshops are designed to draw out the talent innate in children and turn them into confident, expressive performers. Contact info@stagerighthk.com
