The pavement between Island Wake and Papa Rays Kitchen in Man Nin Street is still closed after part of the canopy collapsed late last night. Police have cordoned off the pavement and have stationed two officers to stop anyone passing.
There is no indication as to when the pathway will be re-opened as surveyors have yet to make their report by this afternoon. After a cursory glance at the external areas, it looks like a major part of the ceiling area and the front of the balcony over the road is loose. The entrance to U-Select remains open.
