On 11 January BUZZ reported on a traffic accident that occurred near the junction of Nin Chun Street and Yi Chung Street. An 82-year-old lady was knocked down by a light goods vehicle around 10:10 am. She sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state. Sadly she died at 1:50 am on 26 January.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm after the accident. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in late February.
Police are now requesting any witnesses who may have information to contact them to help with their enquiries. The investigating officers can be reached on 2305 7570 or 2305 7500.
