Following the outcry concerning the extension of service period from 30 minutes to 40 minutes during weekdays on bus route 94 from Sai Kung to Wong Shek, KMB have now announced that they will add an additional service from Sai Kung to Wong Shek at 5:45 am with addition return journey from Wong Shek at 6:25 am. The service interval will be also be amended in the mornings and evenings.
However this will do little to pacify those residents along Tai Mong Tsai Road and in the Country Park who have been negatively affected by the change in schedule in November last year, and for the campaign to revert to the previous one.
Campaigners, including Sai Kung and Tai Po district councillors, who were not informed of the previous downgrading of the service, will probably be angry that the bus company can add an earlier service but not reduce the service period instead.
