CENTRO, Sai Kung sold for HK$500 million

The CENTRO shopping complex in Chui Tong Road, Sai Kung has been sold for HK$500 million. The building contains a Fusion supermarket, Tikitiki bowling alley, a number of food and beverage outlets and 387 parking spaces. 

The property was completed in 2002, with a site area of ​​about 34,047 square feet, and the project approval area reached 266,000 square feet. The building is 10-storey high, with a rental area of ​​about 56,504 square feet.

According to market sources, the entire CENTRO shopping mall with parking lot  was put on the market by the receiver in July last year, and the asking price was HK$650 million. The property was held by Albury Garden Investment Ltd., which paid HK$150 million in 2003. However, since 2014, the mall has been mortgaged many times to different financial institutions. In May 2017 the company took out four more mortgages, and then from 2018 to 2020, it took loans from three different financial institutions.
