Two village houses in Shan Lui, Sai Kung were burgled on Christmas morning; police hunting for suspect

Two burglaries occurred in Chuk Yeung Road, Shan Liu Village, Sai Kung, Christmas morning and approximately HK$100,000 in property was stolen.

The police received a report from one of the residents at the address at 9:36 am stating that a man of medium build, wearing a windbreaker, a baseball cap, white gloves and of medium build was suspected of breaking in the houses and fled after the alarm was raised. Police officers arrived at the scene and Initial investigations revealed that a man attempted burglary in two of the village houses.

After preliminary calculations, the 60-year-old female resident in one of the village houses said that there was nothing missing, while the 43-year-old male resident in the other house said that a watch worth about $70,000 n and a ring worth $30,000 were missing.

The case was classified as a burglary and attempted burglary and was handed over to Wong Tai Sin Police District Criminal Investigation Team 1 for follow up. No one has been arrested yet.
