“Little Pig” after her ordeal
This morning around 10:45 am a car owner in Nam Wai, Sai Kung had a surprise as he was preparing to drive away and was shocked to hear the screams of a dog coming from underneath the car. The car owner got out of the car to check and found a Tang dog trapped under the car, so he called the police for help. The SPCA arrived at the scene and rescued the dog.

The 13-year-old Tang female usually likes to hide under the car and sleep. This morning, while she was resting under the car, the car owner reversed to get out of the car park when “Little Pig” screamed, being trapped, unable to move. Upon seeing this, the dog owner immediately called the police for help, and the firefighters successfully rescued her after arriving at the scene. Staff from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals also came to the scene to check the dog; fortunately, it was confirmed that there was no serious problem and she was returned to the care of the dog’s owner.
