The Secretary of Transportation and Logistics, Mr Lam Sai-hung, recently announced that in order to facilitate public travel, the Transport Department, together with various public transport service operators, are enhancing public transport services for individual outing hotspots, especially on holidays, to strengthen green minibus services to take passengers to the more remote areas including the East Dam of High Island Reservoir outing hotspot. In addition, the Transport Department is coordinating with bus companies to provide additional bus services between Tai Po and Tsuen Wan to and from Pak Tam Chung on weekends and holidays before the end of this year.
The first of these improved services will enhance the schedule of the 9A GMB from Pak Tam Chung to East Dam, High Island Reservoir, now running on Saturdays. The new schedule will start on 22 October as follows:
