Two suspected drowning incidents occurred within in hours of each other yesterday (27/9) on rocks near Kiu Tsui Chau, Sai Kung, one at around 2:00 pm, the other at 7:00 pm.

At about 2:00 pm, police received a report from a fisherman, saying that a man was found lying on a rock near the shore of the island. Rescue workers arrived at the scene and the man was confirmed dead at the scene. The police did not find a suicide note, and he had no identification document on him. The cause of death of the victim has yet to be determined after an autopsy. The victim was wearing jeans and sneakers when he was found. Police are investigating his identity and the cause of the incident.

At about 7:00 pm, a diver reported that there was an unresponsive man in swimming trunks in the underwater coral in the same area, and it was suspected that someone had drowned. Rescue workers rushed to the scene after receiving the report, with FSD divers assisting the search and rescue, but the victim has not yet been found.
