Six people injured and sent to hospital when minibus and car collide on Hiram’s Highway

At about 7 o’clock Saturday night (20/4), a car was driving along the Hiram’s Highway towards Sai Kung, when it stopped owing to a suspected mechanical failure near Cheng Chek Chee Secondary School.

According to the information online, a minibus following the car was suspected of not being able to stop in time and rammed into it, causing it to flip over on to its roof.

The 70-year-old female driver of the car suffered injuries to her neck and hands. The 65-year-old minibus driver was not injured. However, two male and four female passengers (3 to 67-years-old) on the minibus were injured, and seven others shaken. The injured were all taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.
