The first crash occurred around 7:00 pm; three sent to hospital
Two traffic accidents occurred on Tai Mong Tsai Road in Sai Kung within just over an hour last night (5/6), each involving two cars. A total of four people were injured and sent to hospital.
The first accident occurred at about 7:15 pm. Two cars travelling along Tai Mong Tsai Road collided near the Martyrs Monument Park. It is understood that one of the cars was emitting smoke when rescue services arrived after receiving the report; they confirmed that there was no fire in the vehicle, but found that two men and one woman were slightly injured. The three people were later sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment.
As can be seen from social media pictures the fronts of the two cars were severely damaged, parts were scattered on the ground, and a tyre had flew off and rested on the front of one of the cars.

The second accident occurred about 8:30 pm, when two cars travelling towards Pak Tam Chung collided when they arrived at So Wo Hang. When rescue services arrived at the scene they found that one passenger had chest pains and sent him to Tseung Kwan O Hospital.
As can be seen from online videos and pictures, the airbags of both vehicles deployed after the incident. One of the vehicles crashed into a railing, while the rear wheel of the other vehicle was shoved onto the pavement. The fronts of the two cars were seriously damaged and one emitted smoke for a time, with oil leaking across the road.
Traffic in both direction was affected by the accidents with Tai Mong Tsai Road temporarily blocked. The causes of the accident remains to be investigated, although social media speculates that both were caused by faulty brakes
