Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) will introduce five “pet-friendly bus tour” routes beginning this Sunday, 13 October, allowing pet owners to travel with their furry friends on weekends and public holidays. The routes will cover popular destinations including Sha Tin, Tsuen Wan, Pak Shek Kok, Sai Kung, West Kowloon Cultural District, and Ma Wan.
Route #3 will go from Sha Tin to Sai Kung, with the route and timings shown below:
Passengers can bring one pet aboard each bus, with a fare of HK$35 per ride. Advance registration is required, and interested travellers can secure their tickets via the KMB online shop, which will be available from 11:00 am on 9 October. Members of KMB’s club1933 will receive a HK$10 discount on their tickets.
Passengers are reminded to comply with specific regulations when travelling with pets. Dogs must possess a valid dog licence, be microchipped, and have received vaccinations for rabies, DHPPiL (1-5), and any other required diseases as determined by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. Cats must also be vaccinated against FVRCP and other necessary diseases.
