
The slope in Boon Kin Village where the man was rescued after being lost for two days
At around 10:00 am today (2/3), a passer-by was walking through Mang Kung Uk Village in Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung when he heard a voice shouting from the hillside near Boon Kin Village. Believing that someone was in danger, he called the police for help.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene and began a search. They later found a man next to a stream about 50 metres down the hill. He was still conscious but had a hand injury. After they rescued him he was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment.
According to on-site information, the injured person is about 70 years old and went missing after hiking on 28 February. His family had called the police for help and he is believed to have been trapped for two days.
