Just before midnight last night (13/6) a car was being driving along Clear Water Bay Road towards Sai Kung. When it was near the Esso petrol station, the driver was suspected to have lost control and drove onto the pavement and then onto the adjoining slope. The car came to rest at a 45-degree angle. The 30-year-old female driver was trapped in the car. A passing driver reported the incident to emergency services.
Firefighters arrived and rescued the trapped driver. She was injured in the waist and was sent to United Hospital by ambulance. Police officers are investigating the accident and its cause. It was reported that there was a male passenger in the car at the time of the accident. He was not injured and was assisting in the investigation at the scene.
