A three-vehicle pile-up occurred on Tai Mong Tsai Road, Sai Kung just before 2:00 pm this afternoon. A green taxi, oil tanker and lorry all collided near Tai Wan Tsuen blocking traffic in both directions for an hour or more. No-one was injured in the accident.

Dash-cam footage online shows the taxi apparently straddling the double white lines before the accident, heading head-on towards the oil tanker. The oil tanker driver sounded a warning and swerved to the left, but was still struck by the taxi. Vehicles following drove around the taxi, but a van couldn’t fit, resulting in a three-vehicle blockage.
