16-year-old mechanic crashes Tesla on his first day at work; arrested for driving without a licence

A bizarre traffic accident occurred in Sai Kung around 10:30 am this morning (20/4) near the Tai Yuen Shuai Temple on Luk Mei Tsuen Road, Sai Kung. A 16-year-old boy accidentally stepped on the accelerator and crashed into a seven-seater vehicle. The impact sent that vehicle crashing into the wall of a real estate agency, trapping a female employee by the leg.

Firefighters responded to the scene and rescued her. The injured woman was taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital by ambulance. Following an investigation, police arrested the 16-year-old boy on suspicion of stealing a car, driving without a license, and driving without third-party insurance.

According to reports from the scene, the 16-year-old male mechanic was on his first day of work.
