Effective 17 October 2026, Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) has implemented routing modifications and service expansions for Route 92R (Star Ferry ↔ Sai Kung). The route, which originally ran between Sai Kung and Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Piers, will be extended to Yau Ma Tei and Jordan areas after the service upgrade, making it more convenient for residents and tourists to travel between Kowloon and Sai Kung on weekends and holidays. The route covers several interchange stations and hotels along the way, facilitating transfers for residents and direct access for tourists to their destinations.
- To Sai Kung: The route has been expanded to serve Nathan Road (covering Tsim Sha Tsui & Yau Ma Tei). After departing from Star Ferry, buses run via Nathan Road (Northbound), Gascoigne Road, Chatham Road South, and Chatham Road North before rejoining the original route.
- New Stops: Added multiple stops along Nathan Road, “Labour Tribunal” on Gascoigne Road, and “Tin Kwong Road” on Ma Tau Wai Road.
- Skipped Sectors: The bus no longer travels via East Tsim Sha Tsui (Chatham Road South), East Kowloon Corridor, Kai Tak Tunnel, or Sung Wong Toi Road.
- To Star Ferry: The Kowloon-bound service has been extended past Star Ferry to terminate at Kowloon Central Post Office in Yau Ma Tei via Salisbury Road and Nathan Road. It also adds new intermediate stops at “To Kwa Wan Market” and “Ping Chi Street”.
