ong VegFest will be held at the Adventist Academy on October 21.
About 70 exhibitors will showcase their vegetarian products and services. Doctors and nutritionists will speak. Admission is free. Last year about 4000 people saw and sampled food displays, watched movies and band performances, and took part in games.
The one-day volunteer-run event from 10am to 5pm sets out to promote healthy lifestyle, diet and prevention of cruelty to animals bred to eat.
Organisers of the event at Hong Kong Adventist Academy, 1111 Clearwater Bay Road, are Hong Kong Vegan Association, Adventist Hospital, Hong Kong Catholic Vegetarian Association, Natural Network, Club O and the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
