The annual Vegfest at Hong Kong Adventist Academy attracted hundreds of near-religious devotees, spectators, gawkers and some who were just here for a free feed. An African band turned in a rollicking performance, starlets posed with daft humour, pets were paraded and wannabe male models flashed rippling bodies.
Doctors and nutritionists extolled the virtues of a meat-free diet. Vegetarian restaurants offered tasters, attracting eager queues. For some it was all too much and they flopped on the grass, bellies bulging. Shara Ng took these photos recording another fun and worthwhile day at the Clearwater Bay school.
