Sai Kung’s oldest pub, The Duke of York, has reopened in a single shop unit. Anna and Alan, the couple who own the business, have given up the second unit, saying the total rent of $150,000 is unaffordable. The newly renovated Duke has gone back to its original size when founded by Sandy in 1988. Staff member Bobby Yip said the popular pool table is gone, because there is not enough room for it, and the bar has shrunk. BUZZ hopes the Central Police Station sign will remain pointing to the loos.
