A 3D printing workshop for families will be held at The Hive Business Centre opposite the Sai Kung police station on May 6 from 10am to 12.30pm. The event is to be hosted by 3D Roundhouse, which claims to be the “world’s first 3D modelling and printing website created for parents and kids”.

Families will be taught how to design an object, code software and set up a 3D printer that can make almost anything. Cost is $500 for one parent and one child plus $100 for additional relatives.

3D Roundhouse is headed by David Szeto as Managing Director. “With 3D printing you can grow businesses, or at least minds,” David said.

The Hive, one of Sai Kung’s civilised havens, is hidden in the olive green factory building where the little road leading to the police station joins the main road.
