After Typhoon Hato, only a few boats were up-ended and half-sunk at Sha Ha Beach. The main effect of the storm is a vast amount of muck and debris washed onto the beach.

In the aftermath of Typhoon Hato, Sha Ha beach looks like it’s one of the worst hit places in the Sai Kung area. Wrecked boats, kayaks and boards are scattered everywhere, and the stench of oil/petrol fumes is overwhelming.
