A Sai Kung youngster muscled his way into last weekend’s Hong Kong Golf Open at just 19 years of age. Leon D’Souza “made the cut” as golfers say by shooting an even par on his second round. This gave Leon an overall score of two over par, and he scrapped into the tournament alongside some of international greats, such as Sergio Garcia.

Leon is the reigning Hong Kong Open Amateur Golf title holder. He will head off to Las Vegas to study at the University of Nevada next year, but says if his performances on the links continue to improve a golf career is a possibility. The D’Souza family are regulars at Sacred Heart Church.
