28 year old man rescued from drowning at Ham Tin Wan

A man about 28 years old, fell into a coma while swimming at Ham Tin Wan at about 5:00 pm last evening. When the police and the rescue services received the report they instructed a flight crew  to send helicopters to assist the rescue because of the long distance involved. The helicopter rescue team saved the victim and took him to the Eastern Hospital for treatment. When he arrived at the hospital the victim had returned to consciousness but he still needed help with his breathing. The man is described as “a foreigner” by the local Chinese media.
