A motorcycle rider was arrested for drunk driving after crashing his vehicle on Clear Water Bay Road around midnight last night.
The 48-year-old man was driving along Clear Water Bay Road, when he lost control when close to Silverstrand Beach Road. The driver fell on to the ground bruising his hands and feet. He was able to call for an ambulance. The ambulancemen gave him a simple dressing and took him to hospital for treatment.
Police officers carried out a breathalyser test and confirmed that he was nearly 2 times over the limit, and then arrested him on suspicion of drink-driving. The motor cycle was taken to the police station for further tests.
