Eight five-storey houses and a two-storey building have been proposed for a lot of land situated on Hang Hau Road adjacent to the roundabout leading to Clearwater Bay, Hang Hau and Silverstrand. They will replace a current unoccupied house, Villa Pine. The lot area is currently a mixture of Residential, Green Belt and Road zoning, and building height is restricted to two-storeys. The planning application amendment of the current zoning to allow for the development.
According to the application to the Town Planning Board, the land area is 45,200 sq. ft. with 40,000 sq. ft. floor area in total. The owners were granted permission to rebuild the existing two-storey house in 2016.
The application is in the name of Rock Headland Proprietary Limited, whose directors include Tang Siu Wing and Tang Chui Yuk, Angela. There are also two mainland directors Deng Zhao Rong and Deng Cui, the same family name as the artist Deng Zhaozun (鄧兆尊).
