Donald Trump does not appear in the top 500; he is reported by Bloomberg to be worth a lowly $2.84 billion. Visitors to Macau, astonished by the casino development, will be interested to see Sheldon Adelson of Sands comes in 25th richest in the world at $36.8 billion.
The 17 Hong Kong billionaires range from the diversified “Superman” Li Ka-shing at world ranking 29 with $31.9 billion to at 483rd Tung Chien-cheng, brother of Tung Chee-wa and former chairman of Orient Overseas International sold two years ago for $6.36 billion. Tung’s net worth is put at $4.13 billion.
