Oriental Daily News are reporting a bizarre incident that occurred around 5:00 pm yesterday afternoon near Tai Mong Tsai.

A KMB No. 94 was heading towards Sai Kung from Wong Shek Pier. It stopped to pick up passengers on Tai Mong Tsai Road near Tai Mong Tsai Village. The bus was so full that passengers were even sitting on the stairs. The driver would not allow two men to get on the bus, saying it was far too full. They took exception to this and went to the front of the bus and sat down in the road.

They then walked around in front of the bus for the next 30 minutes, stopping it from leaving. Passengers on the bus were getting very angry, and the situation was only resolved by the arrival of the police. The road was blocked in both directions for some of the time, as the men were also stopping traffic from passing the bus.

UPDATE:

Jacky Chan, Acting Commander of Sai Kung police district, has sent BUZZ a message about the above incident saying such selfish acts are totally unacceptable:

“The incident was reported at 1724 hours. It was swiftly responded to by our patrol. However, on arrival at 1740 hours the two males had gone. The police party regulated the traffic and ensured it could resume.

“I have personally briefed my men to take decisive action and to arrest this kind of bully with no mercy. Such a selfish act is totally unacceptable.”
