Two people were injured when they fell into the sea after their jet-ski crashed into a fishing boat Tai Tau Chau, Sai Kung yesterday afternoon (27/8). They were a 29-year-old man and 19-year-old woman. The man had no superficial injuries but was in critical condition after being sent to the hospital. The woman suffered injuries to the mouth and nose and was taken to the hospital semi-conscious and underwent emergency surgery.

According to eye-witnesses, the couple went to Tai Tau Chai in the afternoon and rented a jet-ski. About 4:00 pm they hit a fishing boat and were rescued by nearby boats. Marine Police and emergency services took them to hospital.

The Marine Police East Division are reported to have gone to the scene to carry out an investigation. The injured couple were not owners of the jet-ski and are assumed to have rented.
