At the last Sai Kung District Council Transport and Traffic Committee meeting the Home Affairs Department reported that it had removed nearly 400 illegally parked bicycles, motorcycles and shared bicycles between 8 November to 20 December 2019, in Po Lam, Tseung Kwan O and Tiu Keng Leng.

According to Councillor Edmond Tse, the worst affected areas in Tseung Kwan O, along the waterfront park, were not targeted, and the area is an illegally parked bicycle black spot.

The Home Affairs Department issued a list of places and number of bikes seized – see below. They also told the meeting that another clear-up operation would be carried out in Sai Kung on 10 January 2019 and in Hang Hau on 24 January 2019.
